(the article below appeared in the New York Times at: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/01/13/health/13well.html?_r=1&8dpc ; I can see Dax saying "Don't gimme that f*cking bullsh*t!") In half a dozen states and many cities and counties, it is illegal to use a hand-held cellphone while driving — but perfectly all right to talk on a hands-free device.
The theory is that it’s distracting to hold a phone and drive with just one hand. But a large body of research now shows that a hands-free phone poses no less danger than a hand-held one — that the problem is not your hands but your brain.

 What the hell is it with people who can't pull their vehicles up to the ticket machine at the city parking lots? Jesus Christ. How long to you have to drive before you can pull up close enough to grab the ticket? My coworker Jan believes it has to do with people being too fat and unable to turn the steering wheel. Maybe, but I'm not sure it's just not plain stupidity. What the f*ck? Learn to drive BITCH! |
