Things are going well.  Work is pretty good... got some good things to work on anyway.

I was planning on selling the house, but after sitting down and running the numbers I really don't think I can afford to sell right now.  So, while we have to wait a year or two to sell it's kind of nice to know that we're going to be there awhile and we don't have to start packing.

Things are moving forward with my Grandma's house.  We've been over picking up the stuff that she gave to me and Arianna.  Kind of sad, but also puts a smile on my face when I look around at home and see things that remind me of her.

School is going well for Arianna.  I think I'm going to plan a Disney trip to reward her for working hard.  Probably won't go till next November or so, but it gives us something to look forward to.

Helped Steph and her boyfriend Jeff move into a new place yesterday.  She sold her house and Jeff is in the process of selling his place.  They bought a really nice 5 bedroom place out in Waunakee.  Nice... really nice.  Huge.  I guess the builder was trying to dump it cheap because he was losing his ass on the place.  Good for them.

Arianna is still drinking out of the fish cup you gave her.  Says it reminds her of you.  : )

As far as my love life... nothing to report.  I've not been dating or anything.  Weird... I just don't care at this point.  I'm still feeling relieved inside that I don't have anyone yelling at me or anything.  I have fewer time commitments... it's just a good feeling right now.

One thing that does feel weird though is my age.  I feel like the girls that are my age are too old for me.  Most haven't taken care of themselves and it shows.  But the girls that are younger... what are they going to do with a 45 year old dude?  Weird... never gave it much thought before. I need to find someone in the 35-45 range that is fun and I'm attracted to.  Where do those girls hang out?  : )

Busy Weekend PDF Print E-mail

It was a long, busy weekend.  We fit in lots of fun, but man oh man will it be nice to have a little breathing room.

Friday night... met Dan Maki at the Monkey for a couple beers.  Nice to just sit around and chat.  It's been too long since I've done that.  Got home, read a little and hit the hay.  Nice to get to bed early.

Saturday morning I was up by 5 am.  Worked on the Death Star in preparation for it's sale to Todd Duane.  Removing files, zapping applications and just making sure the security is setup for Todd.  Left home about 7:30 am to participate in a marketing competition at Oregon High School.  I was a judge and it was really fun.  The kids I was judging had to market a new video game to replace or update Guitar Hero.  The kids came up with "Non-stop Pop, Rap Riot, Country Hoe Down" to name a few.  Very interesting exercise and a lot of fun.  I would do it again in a minute.

We Have a Visitor PDF Print E-mail

We have a visitor now at 569 Apollo.  Lydia called yesterday morning and offered to let Arianna and I take Chili.  I was shocked to say the least as I now he's her favorite cat.  There were some issues with Chili and Stevie picking on Pumpkin so Lydia and Nabeel decided to make a move.  They called us, we got all the necessary cat goodies in place and then went and picked him up.

He did very well last night leaving the laundry room and coming upstairs to lay on the bed with Arianna and I.  There was some meowing last night as expected... gotta cut the kitty some slack for being in a new place last night.  Hiding this morning, but I think all is well in the kingdom.

Worked out well for Lydia as now she knows where her cat is and it's a good home, we get a cat that we like and Chili goes to a "cat friendly" home.  Wins all across the board.

Around the Lake PDF Print E-mail

Today is the day. Arianna and I are going to bike around the lake.  It will be her first try and hopefully, first bike trip around Lake Monona.  Can she make it?  I'm sure we'll be fine, but we will have to take our time and drink plenty of water. Should be a fun ride... more updates coming.

** UPDATE **

We made it!  It actually wasn't too bad of a ride.  It was windy today and we faced a pretty good headwind for the bulk of the ride.  In the end... Arianna was a champ.  She really did well.  : )

I expressed to Arianna that I would like to try to ride around the lake once each week.  She seemed pretty excited about that.  Doesn't remind me of anyone I know.
