Did I mention Arianna and I are heading for Texas? Me, forget to mention it? NOOOOO. : ) Arianna and I arrived at DFW (Dallas/Fort Worth Airport) about noon on Thursday. Good flight out of Milwaukee (incredible savings on airfare flying out of Milwaukee vs. Madison) and we're now we're enjoying some sun in the Republic of Texas. I was out with Cousin Shelly on Thursday night. We went to a going away party for a friend of hers and then off to a Sports Bar/Club called "XX's and OO's". Ironically, the bar was hosting "swingers night" when we were there. I didn't see any action, but interesting to think about.
We had a good time and spent quite a bit of time chatting with a girl who was introduced to me as "Ivanka." Nice... not her name. Friday night was pretty cool too. My cousin Carol took me out to her boyfriend's parent's house for a cookout and a couple beers. Good times. Then we hit some hillbilly joint that Michael (Carol's boyfriend) hangs at which was my kind of place. Just a little dive with cold beer and a very friendly atmosphere. Carol and I were supposed to meet up with Shelly later, but she was tired and decided to stay in. I cruised from the bar in hopes of getting to Shelly's house to sleep. Well, I had an issue with the GPS system in her car taking me in circles, but considering I had a good buzz on, I'm on vacation in Texas with really no place to go... it was okay. Did I mention I was driving Shelly's BMW convertible? Nice. I got a text message from Ivanka just as I was pulling into Shelly's place. She ended up picking me up and taking me out for a couple more drinks. The people here are so freaking friendly. I stayed out till about 4 am and even found out her name is Yvonne. : ) Life is good. : ) |
