So I get an assignment at work to create a slideshow header for the new Department of Children and Families website. I like the idea and I'm up for the challenge. The only problem is I have a very limited (read "none") understanding of Flash. And so the adventure begins...

So I get started by googling "flash slide show" and figure let's get the party started. I found what I thought looked like a good tutorial and got going. Honestly, it was a good tutorial. Very well written and considering the difficulty I've had deciphering the Flash interface (what the hell is up with the timeline?) in the past... it was a DREAM. So I spend the day putting this bad boy together, get it set on the server and life is good. Almost.

Flash Slideshow Tutorial

What's the problem? The problem is that I wasn't getting a good smooth transition from the end of the last picture to the start of the first picture the second time through. So I decide to not to loop the slideshow. I figured by just ending things at the end of the first round things would be great. It worked for awhile. But in the end I knew that I had make things right.

I continued to do more research and try to see what others have done. I flat out did not find any information that talked about this issue. It took me two days, but in the end... no luck. Then it hit me... riding my bike to work and all of a sudden an idea hits me. Life is grand.
